History
The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team re-entered Formula 1 as a works constructor in 2010, building upon the foundation of the championship-winning Brawn GP outfit. The early years saw the return of Michael Schumacher to the sport alongside Nico Rosberg, laying groundwork for future success. It was with the advent of the V6 turbo-hybrid regulations in 2014 that Mercedes truly established its dominance. Under the leadership of Team Principal Toto Wolff, the team embarked on an unprecedented run, securing eight consecutive Constructor's Championships from 2014 to 2021. This era was defined by intense rivalries, particularly between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, and later with Valtteri Bottas, as Mercedes set new benchmarks for performance and reliability. The team's success cemented its place as one of the most formidable forces in Formula 1 history, showcasing engineering prowess and strategic acumen that redefined an era.
